How to enable Android Auto
Android Auto requires that the Google App and Google Maps be enabled from the Phones4Work MDM in order to work. By default, the Google App is disabled on all profiles and Google Maps is disabled on some profiles. To enable Android Auto you must first contact Phones4Work to enable the Google App and Google Maps.
After the required Google app have been activated by Phones4Work and Android Auto has been enabled, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND you disable the Google App on the device itself. Android Auto will continue to work and you will greatly reduce the possibility of accidental flags from Google Search usage.
To disable the Google App on the device follow the steps below:
- Open your phones settings
- Search for "Apps"
- Select "All Apps"
- Find the "Google" app
- Tap it and press "Disable"
